The Gourmet Express Dining Excursions offers brunch, lunch, and dinner options in their Circa 1915 Dining and Lounge Car. Meals often feature a local winery whose wines are paired with great local food. They also offer a Murder Mystery Dinner which they advertise as "dinner with a twist" and costumed actors provide onboard drama.

The Wine Train ride is a 3-hour, 36 mile round trip that begins at Napa and travels thru the famous Napa Valley to the town of St. Helena and then returns to Napa.
